The pattern is some ppl sign to all raids, some sign to wedensday and monday, some sign to wedensday and friday, and a few have different pattern.

Bottom line is: overall we lack ppl who want to progress, or we would see higher signups friday and monday :?

Ur assuming that the ppl that dont show up on friday or monday dont wanna make some progress, some ppl DO wanna make progress but have rl to attent now and then ;)

That was my point since we (to my knowledge) havnt extended raids since Ulduar and a lot of things can have happened in the mean time and we also have new members since then.

Im saying that because 33ppl can raid monday (+some still need to vote) and we have not had a strong raid going for how many mondays ?

Answer is 4 in a row. Sofar...

I mean it just may mean that "monday is a bad day" whether people realize it or not ^^

well is not it unfair to extend the raid lockouts for people who sign to almost all raids?

besides.. there are a few more reasons why we are not progressing any further than the easiest bosses available... Forgive the harsh words but some people have absolutely NO interest in getting to know the fights beforehand. As seen in last week's putricide attempts we had more than a few members who were running towards an ooze (even when targeted). It even took us more than 2 weeks for all people to get used to rotface fight. Last but not the least, we are giving far too many and far too long breaks during raiding which destroys any focus thats been built up till then.

Best regards

am I to understand the most signing people want easy epix?
you are mixing low number of signups with a full raid that is incapable of downing a boss...

not really what i meant.. thing is a lot of people need gear on crucial spots from the first 4 bosses (trinket from saurfang, not to mention that bloody mainhand weapon). The examples in parenthesis are only for rogues' case. I dont know the other classes but surely they have some upgrades from there which should take about an hour to clear.

My point is, this will be a HUGE loss for the whole guild as in 25x8 frost badges + (25x5 badges with random weekly and boes) along with the gear we could possibly get. Extending the raid lockouts is pretty much nonsense at this point since we are not by any means grinding our way to lich king in any case.

Besides you seem to overlook the other points i made on my post about raid criticism in the past few weeks and only focus on a single misunderstood point.

Best Regards

I really can't focus on people's mistakes in raids
a) when Im not around to observe
b) when there is no raid going on

I literally can't do anything about a, but b should be solved.

As for gear and upgrades, as you tell it yourself, we're probably wiping because of mistakes/low concentration, not inadequate gear. Although better gear allows more room for mistakes (higher hp, sp, etc) it is not enough by itself. So I think our main priority should be getting 3 raids going in general, then focusing on people's gameplay.

that one i agree as well.. We should however keep in mind that simple failures such as the ones in friday's attempts on putricide work as a negative feedback for people (at least for me). I ve been rearranging my RL issues to free fridays for quite a while to be able to raid and mostly end up in no raids or some toc 25 normal runs. And when at last we got a raid on last friday our few attempts were disrupted with so many random afks and so many simple encounter mechanic failiures that i found myself getting disappointed on a computer screen on a friday night which is going on for more than a few weeks. (On a side note tho, i dont mind playing wow on friday nights at all. Its just as good as any other activity for me as long as i have fun. )

I am pretty sure we will eventually kill putricide if not with 5% buff with 10% we will... However the sense of achievement is ripped off already with the 5% buff. And that takes the fun factor out of raiding for me. I remember killing A'lar with more than several people with a few slots of green gear before the raid nerfs back in tbc.. and i remember that being fun for me since it was a good challenge. I am just trying to say there might as well be people who feel similar things and maybe not feel the urge to log on a friday night and waste it rather than going out or doing something else. The sense of achievement and fun on something being ripped away because a few people in the same boat just dont care. I am not pointing fingers or anything like that. Reason i gave last friday's examples were it was about the last drop to tip the glass for me.

Anyways these are my honest opinions about raiding in zebra for the last month or two... Reading up about my post, i think i went quite a lot of offtopic and sounded a lot like disappointed ravings. I did not mean to offend anyone but if i did apologies in advance.

I agree in the post that most of the reason for not progressing is not gear - but skills, knowledge and execution.

As for the friday raid I admit that I ran straight to the ooze in our last try - not because I dont know the fight but simply because I was tired and unfocused after a long and tiring day at work and trust me - noone is more annoyed about this than me.

we dont lack gear to kill any boss in ICC25 normal, maybe Lich King but thats it. And yes some ppl in zebra rather have easy epiqs than progress. I have seen it to many times on our 10men runs at tuesdays. We usually aint able to continue the sunday run tuesday, because the ppl who were there sunday for some reason is unavailable tuesday, and some of the ppl who only come tuesday rather go pug first 4 bosses, lvl an alt or whatever, than progress on our 10men.

R we a gs guild, where we dont do bosses we dont outgear ?

I know some may c this question as a provocation, but we really need to either wake up, or sleep forever.

Erwin

This.

I gotta admit that I wouldn't be too happy at first if we decided to extend a raid to get more tries on Putricide, BQL or even Valithria, as it'd mean a missed chance to get a tier token or any other item from the ez-mode bosses. But in the end, I'd really want to see us progress through ICC at some point - note that the new bosses drop even better gear, especially LK... but for me it's not even about gear. I just want to see us progressing through ICC as most endgame guilds have done already, and kill Arthas some day - before +30% buffs come in effect, because as Unkitable said, it takes away the feeling of achieving something.

Up until now, I've always thought Zebra as an endgame guild even with our laidback style in recruiting etc... but for now, our progress rate seems to have stopped to the same level as some casual guilds and even some lucky PuGs, and it really feels lame.

If extending a raid is what it takes to help us progress, I'm up for it, and I hope rest of the guild is also.

Sorry for the delay on vote, hadn't noticed this thread!
Essentially any day except friday/saturday works for me. Those days I usually try to keep mrs. ukkon happy. My raid attendance is gonna skyrocket now that I can't play hockey anymore, due to this whole spring thing
