Zebra Guild

Zebra Policies

General Guild Rules

  • Zebra is an international PvE guild whose main goal is to go to end game instances and to strengthen the whole guild. Players are highly encouraged to play according to this objective.
  • Zebra’s official language is English.
  • Zebra’s official communication platform is this website and every member must read the announcements in the forums and the minimum requirements for raids in class/raid role forums.
  • No alts are allowed in Zebra, alts can be ginvited to Zebraling, which shares the same guild chat
  • Members will be asked to install specific add-ons. (e.g.: ora2, guild2guild)
  • Members might be asked to change their talent build.
  • Ninja activities at all levels will result in expulsion from the guild.
  • Any action that might harm the image of the guild may result in expulsion from the guild. (ex: over priced AH selling, spam, scam, verbal harrasment, abusing players)
  • Applying to another guild while still in Zebra may cause you to gkicked.
  • If a member ceases ownership to his/her character in the guild, its his/her responsibility to inform the officers.
  • Leaving the guild may cause your current karma to be deleted, depending on the reason of /gquit. This will be invoked according to the officers judgement.

Raiding Related Rules

  • You should attend at least 70% of the raids scheduled, failing this criteria will put you back on a probation like period, after which you may be removed from the guild (excepting vacations etc, of course)
  • Raids will be announced on the website and announced event times will be in line with the server time.
  • Reservation for the end game instances will be made from the web site, Raid Planner section.
  • Members who have reservation on the website have invite priority over those who have not subscribed. Whispers to the raid leader will not be accepted.
  • Ventrilo must be downloaded and used by every player (you do not have to have a microphone)
  • Players who come late or do not come at all for a pre-arranged end game instance run after reserving a slot on the website will have their invite priority lowered for the next raid they show up.
  • If a player is expecting to leave the instance before the end, he-she must inform the guild 30mins before leaving, or preferably on the planner as a note.
  • Do not post Damage meters output unless asked by an Class Leader; use the WowWebStats page instead.
  • All boss tactics must be known, since they won’t be explained. The raid leader will only assign who will be doing what
  • You should play your class to its full potential, if you perform poor, class leaders may warn upon WWS results or in-raid performance.
  • On major errors you will be replaced if replacement available, else you’ll play but won’t receive loot from that boss. An officer note will be placed with the date of the incident and if another major mistake happens within 30 days, you may be gkicked.
  • If there are more than 25 people signed up to a given raid (and they show up ready on-time) some people will be sitouts, which means these sitouts will have higher priority at the next raid they sign up for. The exact implementation is hard to type in a few sentences, but its the most fair system you can find anywhere. Please note, when you are sitout, you should be available if you are called as reinforcement later that day, with your main ready to be summoned in 5 minutes.
  • You should avoid being saved to any 25 men instance our guild is scheduling runs for. Exceptions to this may happen if you were sitout and we have finished the instance that week

Looting Related Rules

  • Zebra uses Ni Karma System for loot distribution.Details can be found at this post.
  • Members in probation status can not bonus until they have 100 karma
  • If you can wear plate, you can bonus/nobonus on a mail item ONLY if no mail wearer says bonus or nobonus, in other words if its going to be disenchanted
  • People who say bonus for their main spec have higher priority, but if they nobonus, they will roll together with offspec
  • Sitout people will earn karma if they whisper the Karma managing officer when asked to do so in guild channel at boss kill. Bonus karma for any unusual defeat of boss will not apply to sitouts.
